Upcoming Dinner - October 28, 2018

You are welcome to join the Victoria Canada China Friendship Association Dinner Meeting, Sunday, October 28, 2018.

Our speaker will be Barry Mah Ming. His topic will be: Teaching English in China

Barry Mah Ming is a third generation Canadian of Chinese descent. His maternal Grandfather came to Victoria in 1902. He & His Mother were born in Alberta where the family eventually settled. Barry became a lawyer, but after more than 25 years of practice, decided to try a new vocation. A tour director for 3 years had him travelling in the Canadian Rockies, BC & Alberta. After 911, he decided to go to China to find his roots. Thus, the story of how 1 year turned into 10 years. Come hear his tales of teaching English in China.

Place: Golden City Restaurant, 721 Fisgard Street. Victoria.

Please be there by 5:45pm. The dinner is at 6pm. The presentation begins at 7pm.

$22 for members and $25 dollars for non members. Cash or cheque only please.
